Butterflies and Sunflowers

This is a companion to a previous post, Hummingbirds and Sunflowers. The Sunflowers in question are Mexican Sunflowers (Tithonia rotundifolia, variety “Torch”). In August and September, when the plants are shoulder tall and covered with orange-red flowers, it’s a pleasure to stand nearby and watch the many winged visitors.
